You can enter recovery mode to make a factory reset or to update the firmware of your Animus Heart.

Step-by-step guide

Read all the steps first before attempting anything!

  1. Unplug the power to your Animus Heart.
  2. Plug the power back in, wait for the Halo (LED indicator) to change from Light Blue(default) to Dark Blue and then back to Light Blue (approximately 8 seconds), then unplug the power again during this stage. (This enables recovery mode for the next time your Heart boots up)
  3. Plug the power back in and wait until the Halo shows Orange. If the default blue light is shown after a minute your Heart is not in recovery mode, please redo the steps 1-2.
  4. Open a web browser and enter the IP of your Heart (if you don't know the IP, visit the Find IP page). 
    NOTE: Animus Heart needs to be connected to the network through the Ethernet cable.     
  5. If you have succeeded then you should have a view like this:
  6. To get out of recovery mode simply reboot your Heart, either by clicking the reboot button on the GUI or unplugging and plugging back in your Animus Heart.
